Implemented by WomHub in partnership with the Embassy of France in South Africa, Lesotho and Malawi, the event marked the culmination of a six-month accelerator programme supporting women founders building technology-enabled businesses and preparing to access funding. The Demo Day took place shortly after International Women’s Day and highlighted initiatives aimed at strengthening women’s participation in technology and innovation sectors.
Property Fusion develops digital tools designed to simplify property management and improve transparency for landlords and investors. The €10,000 prize will support the continued development and expansion of the platform.
Several additional opportunities were awarded to founders participating in the programme. Florence Mohlala (Madiri Business Enterprise), Sibongiseni Tunzelana (F.L.I. Global), and Theresa Michael (Afrika Tikkun Bambanani EdTech) received tickets to attend the 5th annual Women in Tech Global Summit, taking place in Cape Town from 28 to 30 April 2026. The international gathering brings together entrepreneurs, investors and technology leaders working to advance women’s participation in the global digital economy.

H.E. Mr David Martinon, Ambassador of France to South Africa, Lesotho and Malawi, said: “The talent and ambition demonstrated by the entrepreneurs presenting reflect the strength of South Africa’s innovation ecosystem and the growing role of women within it. Supporting programmes such as Female Funding Fit forms part of France’s commitment to feminist diplomacy and to encouraging women’s leadership in science, technology and entrepreneurship.”
Anjani Harjeven, Chief Executive Officer of WomHub, said: “This demo day was a fitting culmination of the Female Funding Fit programme, run in partnership with the French Embassy. It demonstrated the breadth and potential of tech driven businesses in South Africa, affirming our belief that female founders are well positioned to leverage technology and be catalysts of economic growth and development on the continent.”
Nomfundo Makhoba, Founder and CEO of Property Fusion, said: “Winning this recognition from the French Embassy and Womhub is a powerful validation of the work we are doing with Property Fusion. Our goal is to help landlords and property investors manage their portfolios more efficiently using data and technology, and this support accelerates our mission to digitise property management in South Africa.”
