The call for entries for La Fabrique Cinéma 2022 is online!

La Fabrique Cinéma has been created by the Institut français, in partnership with France Médias Monde, the SACEM (French society of authors, composers and publishers of music) and the International Organisation of La Francophonie to support new talented filmmakers from Southern and emerging countries. This programme has been developed in close association with the Festival de Cannes and the Marché du Film. Ten projects in development (1st or 2nd feature film) are selected and invited to Cannes. The aim is to create concrete opportunities for these projects by providing access to different activities and personalized support through one-to-one and group meetings with key players in the film industry. The Writers Campus launches its fifth call for applications!

This immersive week-long workshop will gather 20 upcoming writers who have had at least one professional experience on a broadcast TV/digital series, short or feature film broadcast. From 18-21 March 2022, the participants will have the opportunity to take part in workshops and masterclasses at the Creative Bazaar, in the presence of experienced professionals who will serve and support them as mentors in the development of their projects. Young poets from South Africa are invited to submit poems under the theme 'Archiving of Imaginary Stories'. Within the framework of the Franco-German Cultural Fund, the French Institute of South Africa (IFAS) and the Goethe Institut are joining forces on a project combining fashion and sustainable development. "True fashion, try on green" is a mentoring programme for young designers in South Africa, which aims at rethinking tomorrow's fashion in the context of the challenges raised by fast fashion, as well as the impact of the textile industry on the climate.
