The Marianne Initiative for Human Rights Defenders aims to better assist them in their struggle, both abroad and in France. https://www.initiativemarianne.fr/en/ The initiative was launched in December 2021 and provides support to human rights defenders. This support includes reception (and accommodation if necessary), the payment of a monthly grant for living in Paris, personalised support and networking with human rights defenders during a period of 6 months. Call for Proposals: Study on interventions for the prevention of unintended early pregnancy in South Africa & Malawi

The Embassy of France in South Africa is inviting bids for a study aimed at assessing the relevance, effectiveness, coherence, and adequacy of interventions to prevent early and unintended pregnancy in South Africa and Malawi. The prevalence of unintended pregnancy amongst adolescent girls remains high in both countries, despite a multitude of stakeholders involved and interventions rolled out to attempt to prevent and manage these situations. Therefore it appears useful to reflect on the relevance, effectiveness, coherence and adequacy of the interventions deployed, as well as the volume of resources dedicated to prevention. Call for tenders: external evaluation of the Civil Society Development Fund 2021-2022

The Embassy of France in South Africa is inviting bids for the external evaluation of the project “Supporting feminist organisations for gender-based violence prevention and economic empowerment of rural women in South Africa and Lesotho”. The project started in 2021 and will be fully completed in December 2022. The evaluation foreseen in the project plan will cover all activities undertaken until September / October 2022, and will serve to assess the project design, its implementation and achievements.
