The Tshimologong Digital Innovation Precinct (Tshimologong) and the French Institute of South Africa (IFAS) are excited to announce that the Novembre Numérique Animation Jam is back for its 4th edition!

Animators from across the African continent are invited to apply for this year’s online edition of the Novembre Numérique Animation Jam. As makers of animated works, artists and aspiring students to show off your skills in an interactive environment with other talented individuals to create an original short animation film.

The Novembre Numérique Animation Jam is a group project, so the more the merrier! If you have friends with similar skills and interests, make sure they also apply!

About the NN Animation Jam: The 48-hour animation jam is a challenge in which teams of animators are assigned a theme and have 48 hours to create a short film. The program will include guidelines, masterclasses, preparation workshops as well as coaching support. The participants will also be given real-time feedback, input, interactive discussions, keynotes from industry experts and opportunities to network in the market.

Hosted by the Tshimologong and IFAS with the support of Gobelins – School of Image, the jam aims to bring together a large and inclusive network of creators and animators to work as a team and share their skills. Students, professionals and freelancers from the creative industries are highly encouraged to apply for this fun opportunity to learn new skills and network with each other.

GOBELINS: L’école de l’image | Based in Paris, GOBELINS is a School of Animation, Photography, Graphic Design, Motion Design, Web and Mobile Design, Video Game, Printed & Multimedia Communication, Audio and Video that prepares students for all visual creation professions. GOBELINS is a public institution offering degrees from the French Baccalauréat to the Master of Arts.

About Cécile Blondel | Cécile is the Head of International Development and Head of the Master of Arts in Character Animation at GOBELINS. She specializes in storytelling in animation and has dedicated her energy into helping grow stories and the artists that tell them.
