The next edition of Eyethu FrancoXchange will present L’Histoire de Souleymane (Souleymane’s story) by Boris Lojkine.
In Paris, Souleymane, a young Guinean delivery rider, cycles through the city delivering meals, racing from one order to the next to earn a living. At the same time, he prepares for his asylum interview, which could determine his future in France. Through his demanding daily life as a delivery rider, the film offers an intimate look at precarious work, migration, and the constant struggle to build a new life.
The screening will take place on Thursday, 8 October 2026, at Eyethu Heritage Hall in Soweto, beginning at 18:00. Tickets are R30 on Quicket, and R50 at the door.
Eyethu FrancoXchange is presented by Eyethu Heritage Hall in partnership with the Alliance Française of Soweto and the French Institute of South Africa (IFAS), supporting Francophone cinema and cultural exchange in Soweto.
