Media partnership with Good Things Guy: IFAS celebrates 30 years of co-creation

Arts and Creative Industries

As the French Institute of South Africa (IFAS) celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2025, IFAS and Good Things Guy have joined forces to share the stories of South African creatives whose artistic journeys have been shaped by French–South African cooperation.

Through a special series of interviews, readers hear from voices from across the creative spectrum — artists, filmmakers, designers, and innovators — whose work embodies the spirit of connection, creativity, and shared achievement.

Since its founding in 1995, IFAS — the cultural agency of the Embassy of France in South Africa, Lesotho and Malawi — has been a vital platform for artistic dialogue and exchange, supporting collaborations that span disciplines from visual arts and film to digital innovation and gaming. Over the past three decades, these partnerships have nurtured mutual understanding and creative growth, enriching both nations’ cultural landscapes.
