Online Spaces, Offline Harm: Addressing Technology-Facilitated Gender-Based Violence

However, with these advancements comes a darker side, as online spaces are increasingly being exploited for harmful purposes, particularly in the realm of gender-based violence. From cyberstalking to image-based abuse, technology-facilitated gender-based violence (TFGBV) is on the rise, posing a significant threat to individuals’ safety and well-being.

A France-South Africa dialogue on technology-facilitated gender-based violence Online Spaces, Offline Harm will be held to shed light on the various forms of TFGBV and explore strategies for prevention and response.
