The French Institute of South Africa has partnered with Tshimologong Precinct to invite Aspiring animators to apply for this year’s 48hour Novembre Numerique Animation Jam Challenge. Creatives of various skills and background can apply for this challenge to be coached by industry experts to create a short film of their own! Novembre Numérique Game Jam

We're excited to announce the second NN Game Jam as part of the Novembre Numérique 2021 program! This Jam will take place virtually on 5 – 7 November 2021, and aims to bring together a large and inclusive network of creators, authors, journalists, directors, game designers and developers to work as a team and share their skills. Registrations are open now if you wish to be part of one of the teams that will be selected to create video games under the mentorship and guidance of South African and French games industry experts. Students, professionals, and freelancers from the creative industries are highly encouraged to apply for this fun opportunity to learn new skills and network with each other. Call for Poetry Submissions

History and Imagined Reality – Poetry from South Africa Call for Submissions The French Institute of South Africa is very happy to partner with the publishing house impepho press and Poetry Africa Festival, to organise a call for poetry submissions, with the support of Total South Africa. Young poets from South Africa are invited to submit poems under the theme 'Archiving of Imaginary Stories'. Poems will be selected by a jury of experts from the poetry scene, including Tshefhiwa Mukwevho, Nakanjani Sibiya, Toni Stuart and Makhosazana Xaba. The selected poems will be part of a poetry collection published by the French Institute and impepho press Publishing House. True Fashion, Try on Green

Within the framework of the Franco-German Cultural Fund, the French Institute of South Africa (IFAS) and the Goethe Institut are joining forces on a project combining fashion and sustainable development. "True fashion, try on green" is a mentoring programme for young designers in South Africa, which aims at rethinking tomorrow's fashion in the context of the challenges raised by fast fashion, as well as the impact of the textile industry on the climate. Young designers residing in South Africa are invited to apply for this mentorship programme, during which they will be designing a sustainable outfit or accessory. Five applications will be selected by a jury of experts from the fashion scene, including designers Lukhanyo Mdingi (South Africa) and Buki Akomolafe (Germany/Nigeria),  and founder of CASA 93 fashion school, Nadine Gonzalez (France).…
